High-quality medicine in Ukrainian villages

Contemplating our project, we clearly knew why and for whom we were we arrange Observations by doctors that patients in rural areas have larger health problems, prompted the hospital administration to create a new one a medical program that would allow the rural population to be detected in a timely manner disease, as well as motivate the peasants to a more responsible attitude to prevent diseases.

While working in the project, we often meet with the cursed diseases that are difficult to overcome both us and the patient, we wonder why the patient did not address earlier, because this disease could not develop to complicated stages, treatment would be cheaper, the result is better, and in some cases the disease and in general could be avoided. High quality of life would be preserved to of old age.

Working in villages, we are confronted with sad statistics of chronization diseases, and even worse that chronic diseases we diagnose for the first time, that is, patients and did not suspect that they have this or that pathology, in already "running" state, which could be avoided during a timely review at the doctor leaving the village, not far from the big cities, I, as the project manager, doubted the need for our presence in such villages, because I thought that 20-25 km is the distance that people still have the opportunity to overcome without interruption to doctors, receive high-quality medical service and timely detection of diseases and treat them. I thought that the level of educational work on preventive
the inspections are higher there than in villages far from cities. But I was deeply mistaken! Unfortunately...

Life and life in villages have its own color and features, there are people are very many physically work, and do not have the time to attend educational activities lectures (if there are), just go to doctors when they are not worried or not has a fashion for a healthy life. In one of these villages, 197 patients were examined, including 163 women and 34 patients men. During the examination, 173 pathologies were detected, of which 72 were first detected pathology and 101 chronic diseases. Also during the day we are directed to the inpatient treatment of 3 patients in an urgent order! Two of those patients were diagnosed with pneumonia (pneumonia), one patient with severe cardiac pathology requiring immediate hospitalization further inpatient treatment.

People do not know that doctors are not only "cut" and treated, but are ready to provide counseling on the prevention of a particular illness. And that's why ours the team decided: "If the patient does not go to a doctor, the doctor will come to a patient!". We are ready to examine, on a charitable basis, further, advise and educate all people in need who can not get it quality medical service. Even if we save one person, we will warn at least one disease, then our project was not useless!

At UBB, we collect funds to leave the ambulance station on October 20-25, 2019 in a Zheldets village, Lviv region.
