Have you ever noticed what has changed on the roads of Dnipropetrovsk? No, it's not about flags on cars. It's about the amount of cars "ambulance". They are going at a very high speed now almost always with a siren and at a red light and most of them carried on Gagarin Avenue on the course "airport – Mechnikov's Hospital," because there are all conditions for the provision of medical care. To be exact – were until there was such a flow of wounded. But everyone can help!

In reanimation unit of Mechnikov's hospital usually had treatment seriously ill, victims of accidents and emergencies people. Now, at the time of armed crisis in eastern part of Ukraine injured soldiers and civilians are coming here. People's driven to us, in Dnipropetrovsk, as military battle are situated just 300 km and 3 hours of drive away of us as Mechnikov's hospital has all the conditions for necessary help. The patients're delivered to us because we have the conditions for the provision of necessary medical assistance.  At least, all this help could be done well before great, huge mass of injured people started to arrive. Doctor's says almost of injures before they saw in books only, nurses lose consciousness seen this often.

Reanimation unit №1 of Mechnikov's Hospital was planned for 15 patients at one time, so there could be reanimated 15 patients. Now the reanimation unit full of people. There is lack of equipment, especially bedside monitors. This monitors are using for unbroken seen of ECG, blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, hemoglobin oxygen saturation, body temperature, etc. The monitors has built-on alarm sound if indicators cross the dangerous positions. This monitors are needs near every bed to inform personal about every change happen with the patient.

The cost of one monitor is 20 000 UAH. With your help, over the past two months we have already purchased and donated to the hospital 9 monitors, but to fulfill ICU №1 5 more monitors are needed. Let's take part in saving lives of patients, because each of them is someone's husband or father, sister or mother.
