Eva is an extremely sensitive, creative and capable child. The girl was born 15 years ago, and until she was ten years old, her life was not much different from her peers from her village. But five years ago, the girl's life changed irrevocably - in February 2020, she was diagnosed with type I diabetes. The usual worries and concerns for a child of her age have faded into the background on a difficult path, where every day is a fierce struggle for a normal life.
To control her blood sugar, she has to inject insulin 4 times a day. This is a physically and mentally exhausting process, especially for a child, but she does not give up. Eva loves art – she constantly draws or creates something with her own hands; she lives by inspiration and draws strength from it. Most of all, she dreams of a normal life – without pain, needles, and fear of nighttime hypo- or hyperglycemia.
To protect their daughter from the pain of injections and the even more painful fear of the unknown, the family is constantly looking for funds for continuous glucose monitoring sensors – special devices that read sugar levels in real time, without constantly piercing fingers.
This sensor is a vital thing for children with diabetes. Without it, every day is full of uncertainty and danger. However, for the Rufanov family, this is an unattainable luxury. The mother takes care of four children, two of whom – Eva and her brother – have diabetes, while the father's work is unstable and seasonal. Please do not be indifferent and help raise funds for the sensors. Each hryvnia you donate means a chance for Eva's safe life.
