Eva managed to live only a little over a year, when doctors diagnosed her with insulin-dependent diabetes. To say that her parents were stunned is an understatement. Eva's mother could not accept it for a very long time. She could not understand where to start, how to do everything correctly, how to prick those little fingers ten times a day. But there was no choice. The woman began to monitor her daughter's nutrition, but for the first few months, the mother did not succeed. It was very difficult to find the right dose of insulin because Eva was so small. It was necessary to constantly measure and monitor the baby's blood sugar level. Eva always cried, she was in pain, she did not want her mother to inject her with insulin.
Then her parents learned about the existence of continuous monitoring with sensors, and it helped them a lot. They no longer had to prick their daughter's fingers around the clock, as her mother could see all the sugar fluctuations. A year ago, the parents were helped to buy a pump for their daughter. This improved Eva's life even more, because she no longer needs insulin injections. However, the family cannot afford to maintain the pump with consumables and the constant cost of sensors. Eva has an older brother who is 13 years old. Only her father works in the family, he is a driver. Mom is always with her daughter, even at school. Now Eva is 7 years old, she is engaged in dancing, likes to draw, and in her free time she rides a bike with her friends. She says that when she grows up she will become a doctor and treat dogs. Eva needs help.
