Her parents were looking forward to Eva's arrival. The girl was born in 2014, and two years later she became ill. The child was diagnosed with insulin-dependent type 1 diabetes. The family's life changed radically.
The stress and fear Eva experienced is hard to describe in words. Her mother learned to “count” food, inject insulin, measure sugar levels, and constantly record all the readings. Together with Eva, they went to consultations with various doctors. Until 2016, the girl's mother knew little about diabetes and could never have imagined that it would become an integral part of her life. Unfortunately, her parents were unable to save their family. After a year of Evochka's illness, her mother and father divorced. Mom and Eva were left alone.
Then Eva went to kindergarten, although many people refused to let her mother go. It was unclear how Eva would attend kindergarten and who would monitor her condition. Then remote blood sugar monitoring helped. It was no longer necessary to prick Eva's fingers 10-15 times a day, and the fear of missing a sharp drop or rise in sugar levels disappeared. It became easier to control diabetes.
Eva will soon turn 10 years old. She seems so young, but on the other hand, such a grown-up girl. It is beyond words how much she and her mom have already gone through with diabetes over the years. Evochka is a very smart and kind girl who always believes in miracles. Her mother needs help in purchasing sensors that make life easier for people with diabetes.
