Ihor was a long-awaited child, and his parents were very happy. He grew up curious, cheerful and inquisitive, and went to kindergarten at the age of three. But for some reason, a month before his fourth birthday, Ihor became sad, weak, ate poorly, lost weight very rapidly and drank a lot of water. Doctors examined the baby. The glucometer in the hospital showed 26.4 mmol, and the diagnosis came as a bolt from the blue. Diabetes mellitus. Resuscitation, insulin, and a nervous breakdown for mother and child. The family was in trouble, but they had to learn to live with it.

Now Ihor is 11 years old, they have learned a lot and are still learning. But the child never fully realized the diagnosis. The mother and son want good diabetes compensation, and sugar measurements need to be done 12-15 times a day. This means constant injections, which are incredibly exhausting for the boy. What a pity about these fingers! Ihor really needs sensors for round-the-clock sugar monitoring.

In April 2022, the family was forced to leave Donetsk region. It is very difficult to find a job now, and the mother does not risk leaving the child alone. His mother is raising Ihor on her own. His parents divorced back in 2020. His mother has no money to buy glucose monitoring devices.

Ihor graduated from the fifth grade with "excellent" grades. He loves learning very much. His favorite subjects are math and English. He is very diligent and responsible; in his free time he likes to read, play computer games, chase a ball with his friends, and help his mother. If not for the limitations of his illness, his life would be quite ordinary.

His mother turned to us for help to make her son's life easier, to see the rise and fall of his sugar in time to prevent trouble, and to give Ihor's fingers a break from constant punctures.
