Igor is an incredibly responsible and sensitive child. He is twelve years old, and for most of those years – nine, to be exact – he has been living with diabetes. This is an extremely serious and insidious disease. There is a risk of hypo- or hyperglycemia when blood sugar is too low or too high. To prevent this, blood sugar must be measured at least 15 times a day and monitored at night. This is very mentally exhausting and damages his fingers, which suffer greatly from the pricks.

Igor is in 7th grade. He is an excellent student. The boy has participated in and won competitions in Ukrainian language and literature. He is passionate about mathematics and programming and dreams of learning English. He also dreams of peace and returning home, because his family was forced to leave Donetsk Oblast at the beginning of the full-scale war. Help Igor live peacefully, without restrictions and pain – help buy glucose monitoring sensors!
