Vania was 7 years old when his mother found out that her son had insulin-dependent diabetes. Now Vania is ten, and he has already gotten used to living with this disease. The boy constantly has to monitor his blood sugar levels, measure them with a glucometer, and give himself insulin injections. This may be necessary up to eight times a day.
With this lifestyle, his mother has to be with him all the time, which means she is unable to work. Vanya has unstable diabetes, so his blood sugar levels can drop below normal, which can have extremely serious consequences. This feature of the boy's disease accelerates the development of chronic complications. Therefore, diabetes compensation is a vital necessity for Vania.
But his life goes on, and Vania is growing up. Communicating with his peers and caring for his pets are an important part of his life. But creating various programs and small games using a computer is the boy's real passion. He loves it and is quite good at it.
Ivan had to learn a lot about the diagnosis of diabetes and how it can be “adjusted” to the needs of the body. There is a very good and useful device called an "insulin pump". It significantly improves the quality of life of a child with diabetes and prevents complications and the negative effects of the disease on the body. Unfortunately, the price of this device makes it inaccessible to Vania. The boy's mother is asking caring people for help in purchasing an insulin pump. And Vania, like all children with diabetes, sincerely believes that one day scientists will find a cure for this insidious disease that will remain with the boy forever.
