Ivan and Polina: together toward new achievements!

Ivan and Polina are twins who prove every day that even serious diagnoses cannot stop their desire to learn, grow, and enjoy life.

The children were born prematurely, which affected their дальнейший development. Ivan has hydrocephalus, grade IV sensorineural hearing loss, and cerebral palsy. Polina has scoliosis and delayed speech development.

Despite all the challenges, the children are actively engaged in learning and making progress. In addition to school, Polina works with a special education teacher and an English teacher, plays basketball, and undergoes Schroth therapy to treat scoliosis. Daily exercises and wearing a Chêneau brace are already showing positive results. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, sculpting, and riding a scooter.

Ivan studies according to an individual learning program. After classes, he works with a speech therapist and a teacher for the hearing impaired. Thanks to this, he is gaining new words and better understands spoken language. Ivan enjoys drawing, helping his mother around the house, and taking care of his beloved pet – a cat named Simba. Recently, he learned how to ride a scooter, and now the children enjoy these simple yet very precious moments of childhood together.

Regular rehabilitation courses truly work wonders, and this is evident from Ivan and Polina’s progress. That is why we are planning to support the twins by raising funds for another rehabilitation course.
