16-year-old Ivan Volynets needs surgical treatment, namely the replacement of both eye lenses. The disease is congenital and is constantly progressing.

Starting from the age of 3, when the boy was diagnosed with high myopia, despite systematic treatment, Ivan's vision has deteriorated significantly, and the prognosis is that it will continue to deteriorate. Now the boy's visual acuity is -15.

Ivan is a serious and kind guy. He is fond of swimming and regularly goes to the gym. He is interested in history, especially the history of the Second World War. He plans to study history in depth and become a career military officer.

In order to realize these plans, he needs to stop the deterioration of his vision, and this is possible only by replacing the lenses in both eyes. The guy needs to undergo gradual surgeries on each eye. His family is not able to provide Ivan with the artificial lens necessary for ophthalmic surgery, so his parents are asking for help.

Full name: Volynets Ivan, 04.06.2008
