Karolina Zavadska is a 7-year-old girl who has been living with cerebral palsy all her life (she has double hemiplegia and pseudobulbar syndrome), cognitive impairment syndrome and epilepsy. From the first weeks of life, the baby began to suffer from terrible attacks of epilepsy, from which she lost consciousness. Subsequently, doctors discovered other diseases that prevent the girl from living a healthy life.

The girl is forced to constantly take antiepileptic drug therapy and, if possible, undergo rehabilitation. And in 2019, Karolina suffered a dislocation of the hip joint, the girl survived 2 surgeries and many rehabilitations. However, unfortunately, it was not possible to maintain the correct functioning of the muscles and joints, so problems with the pelvis and knee were added to other diagnoses. The only way out for Karolina is permanent rehabilitation. In the end, only they helped to stabilize the condition of the girl.

Helped. Until the war started. The mother, together with her child, who has a disability, became internally displaced persons. From Kyiv they left for Fastiv – here the girl practically does not hear explosions, and she is almost used to the siren.

"Karolina began to clearly say "mother" – he missile attack taught. She tries to sit in the wheelchair on her own, to hold her back and head. However, our pain is her right leg, she was terribly "dragged" and needs to be developed on exercise therapy. We dream of getting treatment, we are tired of being afraid of everything", says the girl’s mother.

Karolina now lives in pain, she really needs our support to get to a new rehabilitation course at a specialized center. A girl shouldn't have to suffer like this!
