Meals for evacuees

Evacuation trains arrive at the station in Berdychiv. The number of evacuees is growing. Among them are children and people with disabilities. The trains arrive at 5:40 am and are in transit to the host community.

At this time, it is important to provide basic needs. Our volunteers provide complex meals, children are also given toys, and psychologists try to support them. On 11.12.2023, the project “Feeding the Evacuees” was placed on the platform of the CO ICF “UBB” dobro.ua in the amount of 40,000.00 (forty thousand UAH 00 kopecks) to purchase complex lunches for people arriving by evacuation flights from the Donetsk region.

In January, we met 97 people, including 13 people with disabilities and 19 children. In January, we spent 12,000.00 (twelve thousand hryvnias) on 80 meals for this project. After the evacuees have been settled in the places of complex accommodation in the host communities, we support them with other types of humanitarian response.

In February we met 165 people, including 17 people with disabilities and 56 children. In February, we spent UAH 9,750.00 (nine thousand seven hundred and fifty UAH.00) on 65 meals and paid UAH 15,000.00 (fifteen thousand UAH.00) for 100 meals at the expense of other funding sources.

Fundraising for the project was stopped on 04/29/2024 as the evacuation was completed. In March, we met 120 people, including 12 people with disabilities and 23 children. In March, we spent UAH 8,830.28 (eight thousand eight hundred and thirty UAH.28 kopecks) on 59 meals and paid UAH 9,150.00 (nine thousand one hundred and fifty UAH.00 kopecks) for 61 meals at the expense of other funding sources.
