Kharkiv during the war. Food assistance for people with limited mobility

Since the beginning of the war, almost 70% of the population has left Kharkiv, because every day the city is shelled with artillery of various types and calibers 30-40 times a day. The air alarm is almost not turned off, and the sounds of explosions are heard simultaneously in many areas. 30% of citizens who could not go live in such an atmosphere.

The vast majority of those who remain are people whose mobility is limited by disability, old age, or serious illness. These people simply remained to die, whether there were no relatives to take them to safety, or whether they were alone in this world.

Now the situation with such people is extremely difficult: there is no food at home for a long time, there may be a pension - but no one goes to the store, and get humanitarian aid from volunteers is extremely difficult, because who knows how to use Telegram and Viber, not everyone even has a phone . Neighbors left, social workers left, people were left alone with their illness, old age or weakness.

UPD: We are currently raising UAH 820,000 to provide 1025 single people, people with disabilities or people with serious illnesses with a 3-week food package.

The food set will include: 3 kg of pasta, 2 packages of rice, 2 packages of cereals (wheat, barley or bulgur), 1 package of sugar, 1 bottle of butter, 2 cans of stew, 2 cans of fish, 2 canned fish, 2 pate, 1 package of tea and sweets (cookies, chocolate or waffles).

We do not know what the situation will be like in Kharkiv in a day, a week, a month, so we take care that even in case of a blockade or other terrible situations, we can save the lives of these people from starvation.

Thanks to the cooperation with social services, we have all the necessary information to ensure that each package gets exactly where it is needed. Each of the 1025 sets will be delivered to the home by employees and volunteers of our organization and handed over personally to the needy.

The team of the Ukrainian Charity Alliance appeals to all concerned people to help us raise funds for the purchase of these kits. We ask you to work together to provide vital products to those people who have no one to take care of.
