Kharkiv region. Preparing for the winter for IDPs
Kharkiv residents have already repeatedly experienced the consequences of enemy shelling of critical infrastructure facilities. Because of the massive shelling of the thermal power plant, people survived for several days without electricity and water supply. With the onset of cold weather, the consequences of such damage will be even worse, as many will find themselves on the verge of survival due to the inability to heat their homes and the lack of electricity and water supply.
It is especially difficult for families who fled from the war to calmer communities, who still have to feel all the harm inflicted on civilians by enemy troops, even tens of kilometers away from the front lines.
Our goal now is to raise funds for 250 kits of household goods to help IDP families left homeless through the winter. Each kit is a warm blanket, stainless steel cookware, thermoses/thermocaps, flashlights, powerbanks, i.e. household items that will be useful when there is no heat, electricity, water or gas supply.
All items we are going to buy can be used to maintain body temperature, food, drinks; for cooking food and drinks over an open fire; for powering phones and small appliances and as a source of light when there is no electricity. The cost of 1 set for 1 family is 2,000 UAH.
The coming winter will be the most difficult in the history of independent Ukraine. Let's work together to provide IDP families with the tools they need!
