A boy from Lviv region needs help
Vladyk was only five years old when he found himself in a hospital bed in a near coma. An ambulance brought him to the hospital. By that time, the boy was already very ill. The child's condition was normalized, but the diagnosis of diabetes remained with him forever. Thus, the active and cheerful Vladik began a new life for himself, full of significant food restrictions, constant monitoring and endless injections. The boy is injected with insulin three times a day and his fingers are constantly pierced to test his sugar level. It is painful, sad, and difficult for a lively child who wants to enjoy his childhood.
It was incredibly difficult for the mother to come to terms with her son's illness, but the smile of her son's sunshine helped her believe in a better future. Her boy is doing very well at school and is easily mastering basic subjects. He loves to play soccer and make animals out of plasticine. He likes to collect Lego and various construction sets. Vlad has an older sister who is his best friend. He also has a girl among his friends who also has diabetes. Fortunately, the boy has no problems with communication. The only problems are endless injections, a strict diet and a constant feeling that you are special and you need to remember that.
The number of injections can be significantly reduced by continuous monitoring sensors, which will give rest to the boy's fingers and peace of mind to his mother, because they make monitoring the child's blood sugar level much easier. These modern devices make life much easier for people with diabetes, but they are too expensive for an ordinary family.
