The boy needs help with treatment

The disease struck Andriy when he was just preparing to enter his first grade. From an energetic and lively boy, he turned into a lethargic and sedentary child. Andriy started drinking a lot of water and often ran to the toilet. Tests showed the irreparable – the boy was diagnosed with incurable type 1 diabetes.

From the shock that his mother experienced in the hospital, it seemed that her whole world had stopped. There was no desire to do anything – neither to eat nor drink, nor to talk to anyone... The woman kept thinking about one thing: why did this happen to her son? She was very afraid to take injections. She had two weeks to study. Everything turned out to be much more complicated. We had to weigh all the food and take into account the glycemic index, and select short and long-acting insulin for this food.

The mother and son were sent home. That's how the constant injections and piercing of little fingers began. When you have to do this constantly and even at night for your child, it is a lot of stress and constant bruises from piercings.

The family spends a lot of money on Andriy's dietary food, as these products are much more expensive. Besides him, his mother has two other children. Her salary is not enough to cover all the treatment Andriy needs, including sensors for measuring glucose levels.
