We know Denys for over a year. During this time he has grown quite well and has become more self-sustained due to his mother's continuous work on his health. She raises Denys by herself. Now Denys already can sing, declaim poems and tales. All of this due to three rehabilitation courses in the clinic of rehabilitative treatment of Dr. Koziavkin in Truskavets. We dream and hope that he will walk. Doctors in the clinic give such a hope in case the boy goes through the rehabilitation courses and receives a stationary treatment 3-4 times a year.

To be honest, the rehabilitation course is a very painfull procedure, however it is so effective, that when Denys returned home and understood his abilities to learn the world on his own grew so much, he kept on asking to go to the clinic as soon as possible. His mother keeps telling him that it will be soon, thus he is learning how to count to be able to count the days left.

"I am Anna – a lonely mother of Denysko, who has cerebral palsy for the last 5 years. We expected a child, we knew that we should have a boy Denys. But it's happened that at 32 weeks of pregnancy I had have early labour, and because of difficult delivery the child exhibited no vital signs, but it's God's will, and doctors saved our little son. I stayed in the hospital, and my boy was taken to the intensive care unit, and I saw him only on the 4th day. I was told that he had a brain hemorrhage, hydrocephalus (when the brain fills by the liquid), and many other diseases. He spent 7 long days in intensive care unit, and even 40 days we spent in the premature baby unit. It seemed that we would go home and all the troubles were over, but everything became worse.

My son started to have convulsions: sometimes it happened 40 times per day, and we almost couldn't leave hospitals. How much medications we tried to take, wherever we were – nothing helped. In one hospital in Kiev it was said to a mother: "Why do you want to have such a child? Undergo the assessment and deliver a normal, healthy child, and leave this child to himself." But we didn't mind, we set a goal that we will do everything possible to get the child out of this condition, whatever the doctors have told us.

We were advised to pierce hormones from abroad to stop the convulsions, and they helped us, we have no convulsions for more than 2 years. After rehabilitation in the Rehabilitation Clinic in Truskavets, we began to develop, began to utter some words, and then – to speak and to make sentences.

And I am sure that we will have even better results after the fourth course of treatment, but due to the fact that we regularly purchase the medications from abroad, that's why we can't raise funds for treatment. Therefore, I appeal to all who are not indifferent to another life to help us now again."
