Andrii is the youngest son in the Frolov family. He was born in the fall of 2022 – his parents already had a daughter and were dreaming of a second child, and then Andriiko appeared. A few minutes after the birth, the doctors uttered the terrible word "suspicion", followed by waiting for the test results and confirmation: Down syndrome.
"At first, it was hellishly painful, but then I realized that children with this diagnosis come to strong people. And we will stand strong. We fight, we learn, we live. Andrii is the best, the dearest, our long-awaited boy," says his mother.
Andrii is now 3 years old and has motor disorders and joint hypermobility, valgus foot deformity, and physical developmental delay. The boy has a disability.
But Andriiko tries very hard!
"Thanks to rehabilitation, my son has improved both physically and intellectually. Andriiko began to develop his physical abilities: he finally started walking at 3 years old – and that is our great victory! His endurance and strength in his arms and legs have increased, and he has become more attentive and focused on completing tasks. Not only sounds, but even short words have appeared!", his mother shares.
In order not to stop at the results achieved, Andriiko needs constant rehabilitation. But the family simply does not have enough funds, so we are asking for help with the next course of rehabilitation.
