I want to live despite all the obstacles

There are five people in Yana's family, and all five have disabilities. Yanochka has cerebral palsy and weight deficit, and her parents have neurological disabilities. By the time she was nine months old, Yanochka was able to sit, roll over, crawl and call out. But one day, the baby's temperature dropped sharply - to 34, and then rose to 38. Epileptic seizures began, the child was taken to intensive care and diagnosed with viral encephalitis. Later, cerebral palsy was added to the epilepsy.

In accordance with the agreement No. 21 on cooperation between the CO ICF "Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace" and the Charity Operator "Pomogayem" dated 31.08.2020 and the additional agreement No. 21.255 dated 10.04.2024, the project "I want to live despite all obstacles" was posted on the website of the CO ICF "UMB" - dobro.ua - to attract charitable donations to pay for the treatment of Yana Samilova.

During the fundraising, it became necessary to use part of the funds raised on the website of the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace - dobro.ua - to purchase special food and medicines for the girl. Therefore, according to the letter No. 501 dated 04.09.2024, we received the collected UAH 17,300.00 (seventeen thousand three hundred hryvnias and 00 kopecks) to the account of the Foundation and continued to collect on the dobro.ua platform.

In September 2024, the entire amount needed for Yana's treatment was raised on two information platforms: CO ICF "Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace" and the CF "Pomogayem". Therefore, we asked our regular partners to close the collection, reduce the amount of the project on the UBB to the actual amount raised - UAH 18,647.47 (eighteen thousand six hundred and forty-seven hryvnias, 47 kopecks), and transfer UAH 1,347.47 (one thousand three hundred and forty-seven hryvnias, 47 kopecks) to our current account for the purchase of special food and medicines for the child, which was done according to letter No. 557 of 27.09.2024.

In the autumn of 2024, the Samilov family asked us to support the child with medicines and special food, which was done in October for a total of UAH 10,482.41 (ten thousand four hundred and eighty-two hryvnias and 41 kopecks).

In January of this year, we purchased medicines and special food for Yanochka in the amount of UAH 4 172.06 (four thousand one hundred and seventy-two hryvnias, 06 kopecks), and also paid for the project administration.

Now Yana's condition is stable. The girl has gained a little weight. She periodically visits the Dnipro Regional Children's Clinical Hospital for oesophageal tube insertion. Recently, at the same hospital, she underwent dental treatment under general anaesthesia, which lasted 2.5 hours. Yana tolerated the anaesthesia well, but felt pain for three days, so she took painkillers. Now the girl has beautiful, healthy teeth.

Yana is very cheerful, laughs a lot, likes to listen to music, walk in the fresh air and communicate with her family. Three times a week, the family takes her to a local hospital for rehabilitation, where she receives massage and physical therapy.

So far, all the funds transferred from the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace have been spent on the child's needs.
