Refrigerator: luxury or necessity?

Not all families are the same. Some may provide themselves with all, and for others it's hard to find money even for what is most urgently needed – refrigerator. With this need a grandmother came to us, who is a guardian of three grandchildren of her disabled daughter and the mother of her children that is bedridden. Grandmother tries to keep children away from an old refrigerator, as it may cause an electrical damage and is dangerous for children's life and health. Let's help make their lives safer and more comfortable purchasing a new refrigerator!

A grandmother, who has three grandchildren (girls aged 16, 13 and 8 years) appealed to Charity Foundation "Caritas Kyiv", because there is a problem in their family for about half a year – suddenly her daughter got sick, and as a single mom she brought up her children by herself. Now she is constantly in the hospital, and requires further treatment, support and rehabilitation. Parental responsibilities fulfills grandmother, trying to fully compensate for the needs of the children of warm family relationship and caring.

Since there is great need for funds,grandmother recently issued over the custody of the children. Unfortunately, mischances never come single, – children often get sick, which is why the money is still not enough. Moreover, the eldest granddaughter now completes 11th grade and needs the support of her grandmother and additional costs. Children need constant attention, understanding and participation of grandmother in their lives.

Charity Foundation "Caritas Kyiv" asks for help this family to purchase such an important, but at the same time not cheap thing. Maybe you can't imagine your kitchen without a refrigerator, and it's so easy for you to understand that need. Estimated minimum amount required to purchase the refrigerator is 4 599 UAH. In addition, we will need to have to pay a tax of  689.85 UAH. So in general it's needed to raise 5 289 UAH.
