Hospice for the homeless

Folk wisdom says: "If everyone gives a thread, the poor man will have a shirt". We say: "If everyone of us will donate one brick, the poor, ill and homeless people will have a hospice". Every person can sympathize, feed or warm up the homeless, but only when united we can do a miracle: create for the homeless a real home and opportunity to feel a human being that will live and finish his life on the earth with dignity. Our organization is working with homeless people for more than 10 years. The main our achievements in this work are a created community of the homeless which counts from 30 to 40 regular members, owns its living building and working premises, and the most important is being on self-maintenance.  

The other achievement is a newly opened place for night stay of the homeless in Drohobych. But unfortunately, neither community nor a night-stay department can host and take care about ill people which require special conditions for living and treatment. That is why in 2017 Charitable Foundation "Caritas SDD UGCC" and the NGO Community of mutual support "Our House" has started building the hospice for the ill and homeless people not far from town Drohobych.

The building of the hospice has to be finished in 2019 but due to unstable economic situation in the country we did not manage to find and gather the needed funds in the planned terms. Today having a visible understanding of the presence of such establishment for the lonely, abandoned and homeless people we turn to you with the request to help us to purchase building material named concrete building blocks to erect the walls and then cover the building with a roof and start inner works.

We sincerely ask you to help us in building of the hospice that will be a hope and a chance for decent life for the ill, abandoned and homeless people.
