Timofey is currently enjoying his holidays. He is learning to play the guitar and occasionally goes fishing with his friend. Fishing is his hobby and a real outlet for him!
Summer is a special time, so the boy's family tries to spend more time outdoors. In July, Timofey is preparing to undergo rehabilitation.
A year ago, he loved running outside with his friends, riding his bike, and practising martial arts. Now, every walk is a challenge for him: Timofey is developing foot deformities. The boy cannot stand on his heels, so he is forced to walk on the front of his feet.
He currently wears orthotics and orthopaedic shoes and regularly undergoes rehabilitation courses.
Specialists suspect progressive neural amyotrophy. This is a serious genetic disease characterised by damage to the nerves and muscles, leading to loss of motor function in the legs.
The child has been prescribed molecular genetic sequencing; the family plans to have it done at the Mama Papa specialised centre. If the diagnosis is confirmed, doctors will be able to prescribe the right treatment and stop the disease from progressing.
To pay for Timofey's genetic testing, we need to raise just a little more. Let's support this boy together so that the disease does not take away his ability to walk!
