Kira believes in miracles

Kira is an eight-year-old girl with a big heart. She loves to draw and read fairy tales. She dreams of becoming a doctor one day so she can help other children.

Kira has one special feature – she has type 1 diabetes. Every day, her little body needs a lot of care. Unfortunately, the child is familiar with words that not all adults understand: sugar level, insulin, control.

The girl is very brave, but sometimes she gets scared. To feel safe, Kira needs sensors to measure her blood sugar levels. The sensors help her know when she can run and laugh, and when she needs to slow down and take care of herself. Without them, it is difficult for Kira, because she cannot always feel when her body needs help.

Despite everything, Kira does not give up. She believes in goodness, in people, and in miracles. She believes that the world is big and that there are people who can lend a helping hand to her – a little girl with a big dream. A dream to live a full, happy childhood.
