When there is not enough money for medicine

Serhiy was born with a serious diagnosis of hydrocephalus. He has not been able to speak or hear since childhood. But the boy somehow went to school and finished the 9th grade. He was very quiet and calm, but 8 years ago another disaster happened. The boy was hit by a car. The injuries were significant – an open head wound, hemorrhage, brain damage.

Since then, Serhiy has been constantly hospitalized. In 2015, he underwent an operation at the Institute of Neurosurgery. After that, Serhiy became paralyzed on the right side. He stopped seeing, there was an exacerbation of hydrocephalus. The child's condition worsened and he started having epileptic seizures. He has been lying down for the ninth year without holding his head.

The mother takes care of her son on her own, her husband left them and there is no help from anywhere. They live on one pension. But it is not enough for the medicines that are needed every day. Not enough even for food.
