When you don't know how to be healthy

The whole life of 14-year-old Yegor is spent in a constant struggle for his health and even his life. From birth, he had a difficult diagnosis – internal encephalitis, when the child's brain accumulates excess cerebrospinal fluid, which must be forcibly removed through a special shunt.

Already at the age of 3 months, the baby underwent his first two operations, which allowed him to feel well by the age of 5. But with age, the installed shunt needs to be changed, and Yehor again lies down on the surgeon's table.

But this third operation was not as successful as the first two. The installed shunt did not take root and the baby started having big problems. Intestinal disorders, appendicitis removal, abdominal lavage and sepsis. That is, a series of surgical interventions and a constant threat to the baby's life. Over the years Yehor has been a regular visitor to hospital wards and a recipient of medical procedures.

The family spent all available funds on the son's treatment. In the most difficult times, Yegor's treatment was supported thanks to donations from benefactors. Thanks to this, it was possible to cure Yehor of sepsis, replace the shunt in 2018, and carry out complex postoperative treatment. And so, in 2021, at the age of 12, Yehor started attending school, he had friends. Unfortunately, the war interfered with the boy's recovery.

For 5 years now, the child has been taking anticonvulsant drugs, because Yehor still has a seizure disorder due to undergoing many difficult operations. The family has to buy them at their own expense. The guy needs our help with medicines again, don't be indifferent!
