The former military man suffers from adenoma
A year and a half ago, Ihor was undergoing a military medical examination to go back to defend his country from the enemy. In 2014-2015, he had already fought in the ranks of the ATO forces. During that year of war, the man developed a disease due to stress and two concussions, which was diagnosed by doctors during the commission. Ihor was diagnosed with a giant adenoma of the pituitary gland of the brain.
If not for the commission, he would not have known he had such a disease. The enlarged shape of Ihor's face, as well as his lower and upper limbs, changed while he was still in the ATO. After returning from the ATO, he did not undergo any examinations, especially MRI, because he is claustrophobic. Meanwhile, the disease only developed. Throughout 2021, the man often had headaches, without fever or signs of a cold.
After the diagnosis, treatment began. Ihor underwent two surgeries, which were complicated by his diabetes. After the second surgery, his sugar level rose dramatically. He did not suffer a coma, but for three days he had seizures. His brain "shut down" every 15 minutes.
A year of rehabilitation, examinations and treatment exhausted the resources of his family and friends. Ihor needs injections of the drug Somatulin, which really helps him. Without this medication, he has no strength, he has constant headaches and can only lie down all day. An injection of this drug costs more than 30 000 UAH, which the family no longer has.
