Tania is just 3 years old. She is a little girl who loves playing, drawing, doing crafts, and spending time with her younger sister. They are almost always together. The family lives in a village, where simple joys hold a special value.
Tetianka's life changed drastically when she was just 2.5 years old. Her parents began noticing worrying symptoms: sudden mood swings – from laughter to tears for no reason, intense thirst, and frequent urination. Her father has diabetes himself, so there was a glucometer at home. Her parents decided to check their daughter's blood sugar, and the result was shocking: the device simply could not display a reading because the levels were too high. They immediately called an ambulance and went to the hospital.
At first the child was treated for acetone, but after three days the true diagnosis was established – type 1 diabetes. Tania was urgently transferred to another hospital, where insulin therapy and continuous blood sugar monitoring began.
From that moment on, the family's life changed forever. Every blood sugar check is tears, fear, and a real ordeal for Tania. She runs away, hides, cries. And to administer an insulin injection, her parents have to spend a long time coaxing her. For such a young child, living with constant pain, fear, and restrictions is very hard.
The only thing that can ease the situation is continuous glucose monitoring sensors. But the family cannot financially afford to purchase them. The parents are reaching out with a request for support – because this is Tania's chance to live without pain, without constant fear and tears. It is an opportunity for this little girl to have a more peaceful and happy childhood.
Together we can make her life easier!
