A step towards a dream
Ulyana is 3 years old and suffers from cerebral palsy and epilepsy. It all started with her pregnancy: the girl had hypoxia from the 26th week, and at the 39th week, the girl's mother fell ill with covid-19 and was hospitalized, which led to an emergency cesarean section. The girl was admitted to the intensive care unit, and she and her mother saw each other only 2 weeks later.
When the girl was 4 months old, she had her first seizures. Ulyana could not sit, crawl, or pick up objects on her own. At the age of one, the girl was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. The prescribed medications did not improve the situation, and the number of seizures increased to 70 per day, after which the girl was admitted to neurology. After that, Ulyana underwent 2 surgeries – first an anterior calosotomy (when the corpus callosum connecting the two hemispheres of the brain is cut), and then a posterior one.
Currently, Ulyana's family is fighting for her full life, as she still cannot sit or walk on her own. However, rehabilitation can improve her condition and help her. All she needs is our financial support to enable her to go for treatment.
