A Step Towards Recovery for Roma

Roman was born prematurely at 34 weeks, which led to serious complications. Immediately after birth, he suffered a brain hemorrhage, which required prolonged inpatient treatment in a regional hospital. At his young age, Roman has already undergone six brain surgeries. These surgeries were necessary to combat acquired hydrocephalus, structural focal epilepsy and right-sided hemiparesis.

Despite all the difficulties, Roma demonstrates amazing resilience and will to live. He has already begun to say his first words, such as “mom” and “dad,” the boy imitates animal sounds, stands on his legs with support and listens to fairy tales and children's songs with great pleasure. His smile and thirst for life inspire us every day.

Romchik's development is significantly delayed due to numerous surgeries, but his parents do not lose hope for the best. They are actively engaged with their son at home, but for full development, they need constant consultations with neurosurgeons and neurologists, as well as regular rehabilitation. The cost of these services is very high, and the family's financial resources are exhausted.
