A step towards recovery for Roma. 2

Roman was born prematurely at 34 weeks, and from the very beginning his little life was a struggle for every breath. Immediately after birth, he suffered a brain hemorrhage that required long-term inpatient treatment. At his young age, Roma underwent six complex brain surgeries, including ventricular drainage and the installation of a shunt system.

Despite all the difficulties, Roman remains a bright and cheerful boy. He began to say his first words: "mom", "dad", imitates animal sounds, listens to fairy tales and children's songs, stands with support and turns over on his own. His smile and lust for life inspire everyone who knows him.

However, due to complex diagnoses – acquired hydrocephalus, structural focal epilepsy and right-sided hemiparesis - Roma is lagging behind in development. For further progress, he needs constant consultations with neurosurgeons and neurologists, as well as rehabilitation, which the family is no longer able to pay for on their own.
