Roma was born prematurely at 34 weeks. Since then, his life has been a struggle for every breath. Immediately after birth, he suffered a brain hemorrhage that required prolonged inpatient treatment. Despite his young age, the boy has undergone six complex brain surgeries, including ventriculostomy and shunt placement.
Despite everything, Romchyk is a bright and cheerful boy. Thanks to constant rehabilitation, he began to say his first words: "mom", "dad", imitate animal sounds, and listen enthusiastically to fairy tales and songs. Roman is becoming more active, and his motor skills are improving. He can already stand with support, roll over on his own, and after his last rehabilitation session, he took his first steps on his own! His smile and zest for life inspire everyone around him.
However, complex diagnoses – acquired hydrocephalus, structural focal epilepsy, and right-sided hemiparesis – cause developmental delays. For Roman to continue to progress, he needs regular consultations with specialists and rehabilitation courses. Unfortunately, the family is no longer able to cover these costs on their own.
Your contribution can be a decisive step towards a full childhood for Romchyk. Every hryvnia brings him closer to health, freedom of movement, and a pain-free life. Together, we can give this boy a chance to grow, explore the world, and fulfill his small and big dreams.
