Step to Independence: Help a Sister and Brother
Evelinka and Vlad are sister and brother from Kharkiv who have faced serious challenges since the first days of their lives. Both children live with disabilities and require continuous support from specialists to develop, learn, and live with less pain.
Evelinka is 13 years old. She has a severe form of autism, profound intellectual disability, and a complete lack of speech and self-care skills. She cannot eat or dress herself and remains at the developmental level of a one-year-old child. Every day, she experiences painful episodes involving screaming and self-harm – a condition that requires constant care and professional assistance.
Vlad is the older brother, 16 years old. From the moment he was born, he fought to breathe due to hypoxia and brain swelling. Later, he was diagnosed with organic brain damage, developmental delay, autism, and intellectual disability. He needs comprehensive rehabilitation to preserve and develop basic life skills.
Both children require intensive rehabilitation – physical, psychological, and sensory. This helps reduce the frequency of seizures, improve behavioral responses, and support their daily functioning.
We are raising funds for a rehabilitation course that will give these children a chance to move forward, retain what they’ve achieved, and become a little more independent.
Every donation you make is an investment in the future of these two children – children who truly need our help.
Let’s help Evelinka and Vlad take one more step toward a better life.
