Maksym is 13 years old, but despite his age, he has already become a true example of strength and maturity. The reason for this is his illness: he has been suffering from type 1 diabetes for four years. Maksym is not ashamed of his illness and openly shows his peers that it is possible to live a full life with diabetes.

Maksym does parkour, he is very active and resilient. This year, he also started playing the guitar, which has become his new passion.

The boy monitors his blood sugar levels himself and strictly follows all the rules. Glucose monitoring sensors allow him to train safely, perform, and engage in his favorite activities – remaining as energetic and free as his peers.
