Step to life without disease

After the summer holiday Denys wanted so much to go to the kindergarten and to see his friends but suddenly he began to feel bad. He had no appetite and didn’t want to play like before. His mom is a nurse and she immediately started to look for a reason for such a condition. The pediatricians made various assumptions but did not even mention neuroblastoma. Meanwhile, the tumor grew... Now Denys receives chemotherapy, and the next step is the MIBG scan in Italy. In Ukraine, it is not performed because there are no necessary isotopes.

Such a medical examination is obligatory for neuroblastoma because it is the only one that indicates the response of the tumor to treatment. Without it, the doctors cannot determine precisely whether a surgery is necessary. The answer must be received urgently because the boy has already lost valuable time. But his parents who have long been selling all that are worthwhile in order to guarantee their son’s treatment cannot afford to pay for the scan. Denys needs our help to make such an important step to life without disease.
