Opening of the first quarter of the settlement LEO STATES

Comfortable free housing for IDPs already exists. Leo States has opened its first quarter in the Lviv oblast.

The first families are already settling.

The LEO STATES charity project presented the first quarter of safe and comfortable housing for IDPs in the Lviv region. The first families are already settling in temporary houses.

As a result of the russian invasion, many Ukrainians were left homeless. But finding a safe and affordable place to live has become a big problem: adults, children, and the elderly are forced to sleep in unsuitable places. Seeing the conditions in which they should arrange their lives, the founders of the charity project the LEO STATES, in March this year, began preparatory work to create a town of modular houses. The first 40 Ukrainians have already moved into new houses in the Lviv region.

Location # 1

The land plot for the first settlement has been chosen non incidentally. In the village of Khorosno, 20 minutes from Lviv, there has already been a shelter created for IDPs for 50 to 100 people. Yet they have been residing within one large atrium of the event hall, whose owners decided to rework it for such needs during war.

“We've got nice landscapes here and people enjoy walking around the area having both a pond and an eco-park. But it is rather complicated to dwell together for a long period of time, thus it was very important for us to support the LEO STATES charity project, as well as to allocate land plot for free rent, and therefore to improve conditions for their residing. Hence the residents of the first quarter were mostly IDPs from the Eastern Ukraine whose buildings have been destroyed by the enemy during war as well as the families of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” - Andrii and Mykhola Kit, the owners of the Garden.Prostir location say.

The first quarter already disposes a children's playground, a barbecue area and a recreation area. The entire area covers high-speed Wi-Fi Internet connection.

Housing conditions in Leo States settlements

Housing for IDPs in Leo States settlements is free. It is also planned to provide free meals and payment of utility costs at the expense of partners. An important item of the further development of settlements would be the provision of work and training, as well as psychological assistance.
