Lera was born healthy. Nothing no signs of trouble, only the joy of knowing the world and achievements girls. Suddenly 1.5, parents began to notice the problem of child development, even lag. A few months later finally found the cause – a heart defect. Lera had the surgery, but it was inconclusive. Lera later diagnosed with Rett syndrome, and if not treated, the disease every day more and more begin to influence motor function and intelligence of the child.

Lera up to 3 years and have not talked almost completely lost motor function of hands. Gait became unstable and shaky. The child was falling down ... After numerous surveys in 2013 a child was a two-week survey of the Department of Neurology and Child Psychiatry Hospital. Pavlov in Kiev. Was finally put a disappointing preliminary diagnosis – Rett's syndrome. To confirm the last analysis, the outcome of which had to wait until six months, and, unfortunately, the diagnosis was confirmed.

Rett syndrome is a neurological disorder caused by an abnormality of the gene in the female X chromosome, the probability of occurrence of about 1: 15,000. The disease requires constant medical intervention and rehabilitation therapy. If you do not engage in treatment, the lack of a specific protein, which is due to mutations of the gene is not produced, with each passing day more and more begin to affect motor function and intelligence of the child. That is, over time, the child will no longer walk and move and lose the ability to learn and understand information and make others.

A girl attends a special kindergarten for children with special needs, is engaged with psychologists and Speech therapist, now mandatory massages and exercises. Medications, vitamins, amino acids gives, of course, your results: Lera began to walk more confidently and smoothly, learned to take and hold in their hands the objects, climb stairs, saying single words and pronounce a lot of sounds. But even with all the variety of carefully selected "home" program, nothing can so consolidate the achieved results as a trip to a rehabilitation center.

At the moment, Valeria is very necessary rehabilitation treatment at the Kiev "Center of brain stimulation." This center is unique in that treatment is carried out once in two directions: on the brain, using a hardware effects, as well as the muscles and motor functions – with the help of massage and physical therapy.

Rehabilitation is scheduled for March 1, 2015. Its cost is 24 490 UAH.

Let's together help this wonderful girl, in spite of illness, to feel the fullness and joy of life!
