Hospital instead of school desk

Isabella grew up and studied in Gorlovka, Donetsk region. Because of the hostilities, mother Tamara with Isabella and 4 more children left for Krivoy Rog. The oldest child is 15 years old, the youngest is 2 years old. A mother of many children, who raised her children alone and lived in a rented apartment, could barely make ends meet.

In July 2020, Isabella started having frequent headaches, nosebleeds and leg cramps, and enlarged cervical lymph nodes. Mom and daughter went to the hospital, and there they were referred to hematologists. They made a bone marrow puncture and sent me to Okhmatdit. Unfortunately, the answer was a terrible diagnosis: acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Over the past month and a half, Isabella underwent 5 blocks of "chemistry": 3 were done in Kryvyi Rih, and the last 2 - in the Dnepropetrovsk regional hospital. The girl constantly needs expensive maintenance medications. Once doctors tried to replace a German drug with an analogue of Ukrainian production, but, unfortunately, the body did not accept it. Isabella began to vomit violently, and the condition could be normalized only after returning to the previous medication.

Now Isabella is again at the Kryvyi Rih Department of Hematology. Another "chemistry" is ahead, which means that drugs will be needed again to protect the liver and other vital organs. One of the most expensive drugs is Athenative. The cost of 1 bottle is about 7 000 UAH.

Always active and cheerful, Isabella endures treatment and long days in hospital wards. In order not to get bored, she reads a lot and dreams of returning to school as soon as possible. But so far, instead of lessons - treatment protocols, and instead of classmates, medical staff.

The child really needs financial help! Chemotherapy is carried out at the expense of the department. But her mother has already spent more than UAH 100,000 for treatment. Leukemia must certainly be defeated. Therefore, we appeal to all caring people: let's support Isabella together!
