Medicines for Daryna

Daryna is a beloved and desired child in the family. Nothing foreshadowed trouble, as the pregnancy was going well, all the tests were normal, until the difficult labor began. At birth, Daryna suffered from asphyxiation, and 8 hours after birth she was sent to the neonatal intensive care unit in a very serious condition. Only three weeks later, the child was discharged home. Daryna ate well, gained weight, but was restless and cried a lot at night.

At the age of two months, the girl began to lose weight and refused to eat at all. The baby was sent to the Lviv Regional Children's Clinical Hospital "Ohmatdyt" and transferred to feeding through a probe, because all her reflexes disappeared. At the age of 5 months, Daryna's hand and leg began to shake. Doctors diagnosed her with: "early organic damage to the central nervous system of severe degree, microcephaly".

Since then, the fight for Daryna's life began. She has undergone more than 25 rehabilitation courses in various centers. Thanks to this, the girl began to eat with a spoon, hold her head better, and point to certain objects with her eyes. Daryna has a sister, Maria, and she loves to watch her and listens to her attentively.

This year Daryna started first grade in an individualized form of education. She really enjoys working with her teachers, and she does all her assignments carefully. Daryna has been seizure-free for over a year now, but she has to take medication on a regular basis to keep her in good condition. The medicines cost a lot of money, and her mother is asking for help.
