Medicine is the only thing that can help Stanislav

Stanislav is 17 years old. From early childhood, he was often ill and suffered from severe infections – pneumonia, bronchitis – which led to tonsillitis, viral infections, and even lung surgery. His immune system could not cope with the simplest infections. Constant hospitalizations, IVs, and antibiotics became part of his childhood.

For many years, doctors searched for the cause of his condition. Only two years ago, genetic testing finally provided the answer: the boy was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called PI3K-delta activation syndrome (APDS1). This disease leads to a malfunction of the immune system, preventing the body's cells from responding properly to infections. The result is constant inflammation, damage to the liver, spleen, and lymph nodes, and the development of chronic complications.

The only effective method of controlling this disease is therapy with a modern immunomodulatory drug that helps stabilize the immune response, reduce inflammation, and prevent the progression of organ damage. The drug must be taken continuously under medical supervision, and even a month's course of treatment is unaffordable for the family.

Without this therapy, the boy's condition worsens: anemia, enlargement of the liver, spleen, and lymph nodes, the threat of cirrhosis, frequent infections, and general exhaustion of the body occur. Despite everything, Stanislav is a cheerful, calm, and intelligent boy. He studies, is interested in computers, loves animals, and dreams of a future without hospital wards. He does not complain, he just endures and fights, hoping for a chance to live a full life.
