Treatment of women in a military hospital

In June 2023, the project "Treatment of women in a military hospital" was posted on the dobro.ua website, the purpose of which was to collect funds to pay for medical equipment for the gynecological department of the Lviv Regional War Veterans Hospital.

The initial target amount of the collection was UAH 301,741.00. But in connection with the long collection of funds and the increase in the price of the equipment, the collection amount was increased to UAH 421,444.00.

And according to Letter No. 1606/04 dated June 16, 2023, the collection of funds was stopped, and the amount collected was UAH 386,231.00. was transferred to the account of our Fund for project implementation. The remaining funds amount to UAH 35,213.11. was used from the budget of our Foundation. On June 22, 2023, the hysteroscope and all the necessary equipment for it were transferred to the institution.

According to doctors, abnormal bleeding, against the background of various injuries, occupies a leading place in the appeal of women, for the provision of highly qualified assistance, the department desperately needs hysteroscopy equipment. The institution had only outdated equipment, and the use of this micro-invasive device will reduce the period of operations and rehabilitation by 2 times and allow to receive and serve more women who need help.

In May 2022, gynecological care for military women was deployed for the first time in the hospital. The hospital serves women serving in the Armed Forces, as well as the wounded and evacuees, for whom a gynecological department was opened, staffed by top-level doctors with extensive work experience, which is extremely necessary in the conditions of martial law.
