Summer for the hero's child

Since the beginning of the war, more than a thousand children of Ukrainian defenders have lost their parents. Most families of fallen soldiers do not have the means and opportunities to send the children to recreation camp during the holidays. The charitable organization "Territory of Good" with the All-Ukrainian charitable foundation "Children's world" and partners offers a simple and understandable format, and every Ukrainian citizen, businessman, patriot can help the hero's child to feel joy, visit the sea resort and meet new friends.

Most families of fallen soldiers do not have the means and opportunities to send the children to recreation camp during the holidays. The charitable organization "Territory of Good" with the All-Ukrainian charitable foundation "Children's world" and partners offers a simple and understandable format, and every Ukrainian citizen, businessman, patriot can help the hero's child to feel joy, visit the sea resort and meet new friends.

We are carrying out a campaign to collect donations for the summer rehabilitation of the children of ATO heroes on the Black Sea. The charity team organizes an unforgettable summer vacation at the sea camp, which entered the TOP-10 best Black Sea children's camps of 2017 according to the UKR.NET portal! The "Big Game" camp, where the children will be resting, is held from June 16 to August 29, 2018, at Zatoka resort (Odessa region), on the territory of the recreation centers "Gulf Stream", "Carpathians" and "Galichanka", which are the partners of the project. We have been successfully implementing the project for three years, and we provided rest for more than 250 children during the previous two years.

Participants of the project are children who lost their parent in the war, or whose parent was injured; children of soldiers awarded with the “Hero of Ukraine” Order or other state decorations; children of soldiers who are currently at the Front and children of ATO veterans. Our partners set 600 UAH 1-day fee per child. This includes: 4 meals a day, accommodation in a comfortable double- or triple- room (2-storey houses, the first line of the sea coast), medical insurance, an exciting program, which includes developing activities and interesting tours offered by our partners – Odessa Opera House, Odessa Zoo, Akkermanskaya Fortress and others.

During five sessions, we can provide summer rest up to 2.5 thousand children. The final number of ATO heroes’ children who will take part in the "Summer for a Hero's Child" project will depend on the donations amount collected (based on the cost of a 14-day session per child – 8 400 UAH). We will provide a public report on the results of the project at the start of September 2018.

Every Ukrainian citizen can donate for the project, paying minimum one day of rest of the hero (600 UAH). We also welcome companies that want to support the project by transferring one-day earnings. The donations will ensure a summer vacation for a large group of children of Ukrainian soldiers.
