Love that works miracles

Mykhailyk was born prematurely and in a very serious condition due to a brain hemorrhage. His biological family gave him up before they even had a chance to give him a name. But from his very first moment, the boy showed an incredible will to live. He was transferred to Okhmatdyt, where a complex operation was performed and a shunt was placed. And in time he received the most important things of all – a new family and his own name: Mykhailo.

The love and care of his family work true miracles. Despite serious brain damage caused by hydrocephalus, the boy learned to roll over, sit, crawl, and stand up. He is now 4 years old: he holds his balance confidently, walks on flat surfaces, pronounces individual words and phrases, drinks from a cup and a straw, plays with toys, and masters new skills every day.

"Thanks to regular rehabilitation courses, our son has already shown clear results: developed speech and the ability to form his own conclusions freely. His rehabilitation has also further improved Misha's ability to maintain balance, go down stairs, and run and jump when needed. Misha has now almost mastered using the potty. He can assemble Lego, build things, and use his imagination. Drawing has also begun – which means his fine motor skills have improved too," says Mykhailyk's mother.
