Maxim loses the sight

Two weeks ago, Maxim received an eye injury. He was at the tractor, hammering something with a hammer. The metal part of the hammer cracked and a shard hit the right eye. Maxim did not tell his parents about what happened. In the evening he asked if there is something in the home first aid kit with medicines "from the eye". Later he confessed, when his head began to hurt, that his eye hurt. The temperature was measured – 37.5C. The next morning, Maxim turned to the family doctor, who immediately referred him to Lutsk. For about a week, the guy was inpatient treatment in the ophthalmology department of VODKL. His diagnosis: a penetrating injury to the cornea with an intraocular foreign body (metal). Iris injuries. Traumatic cataract of the right eye.

From Lutsk, Maxim was sent for consultation and surgical treatment to the ophthalmological department of the NDSB "Okhmatdet" in Kiev. The diagnosis of Lutsk colleagues was confirmed and now Maxim is waiting for an operation, which is planned to be carried out in the capital "Okhmatdet", in the Center of Eye Microsurgery.

Maxim is in his final 11th grade and he is the oldest child in the family. Parents Irina and Nikolay, in addition to Maxim, are raising two more children, a son and a daughter. This family lives in Volyn.

Maxim does not have many friends, he is friends with several guys who live on the same street, but he got close to only one – Zhenya. The guys do not waste time and equipped a small football field on their own and now they play football all weekend.

In addition to school, Maxim is still studying at courses, mastering the profession of a tractor driver. In his free time he likes to go fishing. At school, the guy studies at medium level, English and geography are given to him well, but with mathematics there are difficulties.

Now the most important thing is to operate on the eye so that the guy does not lose his sight. Parents are forced to ask for help, because they cannot cope with expenses on their own. Please support Maxim!
