The first days after the diagnosis were extremely difficult for Evelina. The girl's mother did not even understand what a glucometer was, but she conscientiously followed all the doctors' recommendations. She lacked confidence, everything seemed new and difficult.
On the advice of doctors and other mothers raising children with diabetes, the family decided to install a continuous glucose monitoring sensor for their child. And that's when little Evelina's life changed. The sensor began to show all fluctuations in sugar levels, and it became much easier to keep them within normal limits.
Unlike a glucometer, which requires constant finger pricks, the monitoring system allows you to see even the slightest changes in glucose levels that can significantly affect the child's well-being. And since the girl is still very young and cannot always describe how she feels, the sensor has become a real lifesaver for the whole family.
Over a year ago, her mother contacted our charity fund in the hope of getting sensors for her daughter. And since then, according to her mother, she has finally been able to breathe a sigh of relief. The foundation's team gave the family five months of peace and confidence – without constant anxiety and fear about her sugar levels. But the sensors provided have already been used up, and Evelina is suffering again. The girl needs help once more.
