The child needs support with treatment. 2
It will soon be a year since Ania was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes. The fear of being in the intensive care unit, her mother's despair and complete uncertainty about her future life with this disease are behind her. They have come to understand how to live on, how to treat their daughter and how to prevent all the health problems that diabetes can cause to a child. Today they have learned to live in a new way. Four insulin injections a day, counting food units, and eating according to a schedule.
Thanks to kind people, Ania has already received very important equipment for such children - sensors for round-the-clock sugar monitoring. This has significantly improved the child's life. Her mother can react in time to sudden changes in blood sugar fluctuations. The child started attending kindergarten, socializing more and communicating with her peers. Ania is attending a school readiness program, as she will enter the first grade in the fall. Without these sensors, attending kindergarten would be impossible. Ania lives with the emotions of a normal girl of her age, even though she has so many limitations due to her illness. She is cheerful and active, and while playing games she remembers everything she is not allowed to do in life - baking cream cakes for her dolls, treating them to “pizza” and “spaghetti”. The girl sincerely loves animals, draws and sculpts with enthusiasm from plasticine.
Her family cannot afford the financial costs of providing Ania with everything she needs. In addition to good quality nutrition, the treatment of Ania's colds requires a lot of money. It is necessary to buy expensive medicines, because children with diabetes have a weakened immune system. Weather fluctuations affect sugar levels, which can sometimes be uncontrollable. Without monitoring sensors, it is very difficult to prevent complications that shorten a child's life. Unfortunately, the family cannot provide Ania with sensors on their own, so they ask for help.
