A little care today saves children's lives tomorrow
Help provide Kherson Children's Hospital* with essential medical equipment!
For eight months under occupation, the hospital's medical staff continued to save newborns and children with severe injuries despite immense challenges. This is the only facility in the region offering highly specialized care to children with the most complex conditions. Each year, over 16,000 children receive inpatient care here, while another 80,000 access outpatient services.
The hospital's doctors not only work within its departments but also travel to communities across Kherson region to provide medical aid to children in the most remote areas. Currently, the hospital is treating children affected by war, including those with mine-related injuries, burns, and limb amputations. The hospital provides a wide range of services: from obstetrics and gynecology to oncology treatment and complex surgeries. It offers support to pregnant women, postpartum care, and assistance to adolescent girls on reproductive health issues.
However, the hospital urgently needs modern equipment for its emergency department – syringe pumps and infusion pumps. These devices ensure precise dosing of medications and the administration of vital fluids, reducing the risk of errors and improving treatment quality.
This equipment is critical for treating young patients facing severe conditions, requiring rapid resuscitation or prolonged recovery. At present, the hospital is experiencing a severe shortage of such devices.
Let’s join forces to help the children of Kherson receive the high-quality and timely medical care they deserve!
*Full name of the hospital: Kherson Children's Regional Clinical Hospital of the Kherson Regional Council.
