Small steps – Anna's big victory

12-year-old Anna has been fighting her whole life for the opportunity to develop and be a healthy girl. Her journey began with a difficult birth and oxygen deprivation. Anna spent a month and a half in the OKHMATDYT hospital and was later diagnosed with conditions that changed her childhood forever: cerebral palsy and symptomatic epilepsy.

Thanks to neurosurgery on her spine, properly selected medication (her epilepsy is now in remission), regular rehabilitation courses, and daily work at home, she is making progress that seemed impossible until recently.

The last course of treatment brought the girl particularly important results: Ania's hands began to work perfectly: she is already trying to move them and even trying to wipe herself with a napkin! For some, this may seem trivial, but for her, it is a huge victory and proof that all her efforts are not in vain. However, in order to maintain and build on these achievements, rehabilitation must be ongoing.

Anna dreams of catching up with her younger brother in her development. She is trying very hard, but without the support of specialists, this path is becoming too difficult. That is why we are launching a fundraiser for the next course of rehabilitation, which will help the girl strengthen her existing skills and acquire new ones.
