Small patriots – a prospect for the future

A unique Theatre of Cossacks martial arts “Spas” exists in Zaporozye. It is unique because actors of the theatre can force on feet sick children who could not even stand themselves before.

Three actors of the Theatre of Cossacks martial arts were the pupils of the boarding school for the children with disorders of movement. And only thanks to the special training system and hippotherapy (treatment by horses) they have a very healthy and active life now. More of that they can make acrobatic feats and trick riding on the high level! It is a reality. Great wish, purposfulness and help of the professionals make miracles.

For now these actors together with the whole theatre team aim to work with the disabled children, who have disorders of movement, to give them a future of full value.

Training and professionalism of the coaches are not under doubt. Actors show Cossacks martial arts, acrobatics, and exercises with arms, Cossacks dances, feats and trick riding. Having seen the performance once a child fall in love with riding forever. Horse therapy is a unique medical method and cannot be compared with any medical or sport equipment! A coach is the best teacher for them. He is the one who knows and understands their pain, thoughts, and dreams to be a person of full value the best.

The theatre staff has people, experience, premises and training program to open a child studio. However this project can be left as a dream only. The theatre doesn’t have enough money to buy training equipment and horses for the children. “Spas” members beg you not to be indifferent and give them a helpful hand. Coaches and actors promise to do everything possible that depends on them to give disabled children a bright future!
