A little girl needs help

Little Polina is only 1 year old, but the girl is struggling with a serious illness. During power outages, parents take the child and equipment down from the seventh floor to the mall for inhalation. The girl has an exacerbation of the disease and these procedures are vital, they cannot be missed.

In the first months of life, the parents could not find the reason why Polinka was critically not gaining weight, until they got to a gastroenterologist, who suspected that it could be a genetic disease – cystic fibrosis. The disease affects the work of the lungs, the digestive system, and eventually the whole body. In order to live, people with cystic fibrosis need daily life-long treatment: inhalations, physiotherapy, medication, high-calorie diet. The family was just beginning to adapt to the diagnosis when the war began and treatment became even more difficult. The inhaler that was bought was not new, so during an exacerbation, when Polintsi took 6 or more inhalations a day to remove thick sputum from the lungs, it finally failed. Mom borrowed an ordinary inhaler, but its power is not enough and must be returned to the owners. And often there is no electricity. Blackout is the most feared thing in the family. The mother's heart is constantly in anxiety because of the fear of being left without inhalations.

Together with the parents of the little girl, we ask for your support in paying for a high-quality new portable inhaler with consumables so that Polinka can inhale at home, and the parents do not take the child around the city in search of electricity, exposing her to danger.
