Our Maria has a caring husband, a smart daughter who dreams of becoming a doctor and a favorite job. But the happiness of this friendly family is under constant threat called "Cystic Fibrosis". Each exacerbation of an incurable disease destroys the body of a young woman.

Cystic fibrosis is the result of DNA damage, which affects the whole body, and the lungs are clogged with viscous sputum, which blocks breathing. But it is possible to live with cystic fibrosis: it requires a special lifestyle: daily medication, physical activity, inhalations and periodic hospitalizations for intensive treatment.

Recently Maria has been feeling unwell and had shortness of breath. To make the sputum leave the body faster, the doctor recommended the woman an elliptical trainer. The movements on it are similar to walking on skis, so such physical exercises are suitable for patients with cystic fibrosis. However, this cost is not affordable for the family, all the money is spent for the treatment.

Maria told us that she had to go to the nearest pharmacy or hospital to have her blood sugar measured there. Due to the disorders of the endocrine system this indicator often violates the norm and should be under control to react in time. In this situation, you need to have your own glucose meter and test strips supply to measure blood sugar – this is a vital need.

In this project, we are also raising funds for the purchase of consumables for Maria's іnhaler. These spare parts should be replaced regularly, because inhalations are made daily and their number reaches sometimes 10-15 per day. Let's help this family to save their happiness - let's protect Maria from illness!
